With ModelSearch it is possible to find comparable 3D models (Multicad) in both Windchill and Creo. If the number of unique parts in your production company increases sharply, strategies to control this are of limited effectiveness. Unintended identical parts make up about 15% of parts in mechanical engineering, leading to duplicates being made quickly.
